Rachel Moity

Mrs. Moity brings extensive experience and a proven track record of success. She began her career in 2008 in Gwinnett County and joined Forsyth County Schools in 2012. She has also served as the Assistant Administrator at Daves Creek Elementary, Assistant Principal at Sharon Elementary and Principal at Brookwood Elementary.

A dedicated leader, Mrs. Moity holds Elementary Education and Educational Leadership degrees. She successfully implemented the 7 Mindsets program, their schoolwide PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports), and fostered a positive school culture with high academic expectations.

Mrs. Moity became principal of Kelly Mill Elementary for the 2025-26 school year! We look forward to her continued success and positive impact on the Kelly Mill Elementary community.

Kindergarten, 2nd & 4th 

I am thrilled to be joining the Kelly Mill Colt Family as an Assistant Principal. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia, as well as my Master’s, Specialist, and Tier I Educational Leadership degrees from Piedmont College. I also hold a Tier II Educational Leadership degree from the University of North Georgia.

Over the past 20 years, I have served in a variety of educational roles, including K–5 teacher, instructional coach, PBIS Tier II behavior coach, and assistant principal. I am passionate about building relationships, supporting students and staff, and helping create a positive school culture where everyone can thrive. I look forward to serving and supporting the Kelly Mill community and am excited for the adventures ahead.

Outside of school, I have been happily married for over 27 years and am the proud parent of two adult children, Spenser (26) and Ainsley (24). In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs. Go Dawgs!

I am a proud FCSS Alumni and Forsyth County native. I have a BS in Early Childhood Education, MS in Educational Technology, and a Specialist Degree in Curriculum & Leadership. I am honored to serve the families of Kelly Mill!

My husband, Chuck, and I are blessed with two wonderful children, our son Charlie and our daughter, Molly.
