Rachel Moity

Mrs. Moity brings extensive experience and a proven track record of success. She began her career in 2008 in Gwinnett County and joined Forsyth County Schools in 2012. She has also served as the Assistant Administrator at Daves Creek Elementary, Assistant Principal at Sharon Elementary and Principal at Brookwood Elementary.

A dedicated leader, Mrs. Moity holds Elementary Education and Educational Leadership degrees. She successfully implemented the 7 Mindsets program, their schoolwide PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports), and fostered a positive school culture with high academic expectations.

Marla Callahan - (2nd & 5th Grade)

I’m honored to serve as the Assistant Principal for 2nd and 5th grade at Kelly Mill Elementary. With over 25 years of experience in Georgia education, I’ve served as a middle school teacher, instructional coach, and K-12 administrator, including five years as an elementary principal. I joined the Forsyth County Schools family in 2023 and am proud to be part of the Colt community.

 

I hold degrees from Brenau University, Piedmont College, and Kennesaw State University. Outside of school, my husband Michael and I enjoy traveling, cheering on the Braves and Georgia Bulldogs, and spending time with friends and family. I’m excited for another fantastic year at Kelly Mill, connecting with returning students and families, and welcoming our new Colts!   

Brittney Shadburn - Assistant Principal (Kindergarten & 3rd)

I am a proud FCSS Alumni and Forsyth County native. I have a BS in Early Childhood Education, MS in Educational Technology, and a Specialist Degree in Curriculum & Leadership. I am honored to serve the families of KK and 3rd grade Colts!

My husband, Chuck, and I are blessed with two wonderful children, our son Charlie and our daughter, Molly.

Elizabeth Hickey - Administrative Assistant (1st & 4th Grade)

I am so excited to begin this year at Kelly Mill! This is my 10th year as an educator in Forsyth County. I have previously worked at Whitlow Elementary and Brookwood Elementary. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary of Education and a minor in Spanish from Clemson University (Go Tigers!). I also have my Masters of Education in Teaching and Learning from Clemson University, a gifted endorsement, Tier I Leadership Certification from Kennesaw State University, and am currently working on my Specialist Degree with West Georgia.

 

Outside of work, I enjoy watching sports, traveling, and spending time with my husband, Andrew, and our dog, Magnolia. This October, we are thrilled to be adding our first baby girl to our family.
