Kelly Mill Elementary After School Program

Looking for after-school care for your child?  Well, look no further...KME has an awesome after-school program!  No need to worry about transportation to another facility; your child can stay right here at KME!

Our after-school program is available 5 days a week for students in grades K-5 who attend Kelly Mill Elementary.  Students remain here on campus and are divided by grade level.  Our KME after-school staff provides quality care in a nurturing environment where your child will have the opportunity to participate in:

  • Enriching and fun activities
  • P.E. classes
  • Homework help
  • STEM activities
  • Snack is provided every day

General InformationThe After School Program (ASP) is designed to provide a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable environment for school-age students who might otherwise be left at home unsupervised during the day.  The program will be in operation from school dismissal (2:20 p.m.) until 6:00 p.m. on the days students attend school.  The program is open to all students K-5 who attend Kelly Mill Elementary School.  (Students must be present at school on the day they attend the ASP.) Activities will include Recreational Sports, Science, STEM activities, Free play, PE, Arts and Crafts, and Special Guests.  Snacks are provided; however, students are welcome to bring their own if they prefer. Students with food allergies MUST provide their own snack. This won’t be any ordinary after-school program…the kids will be engaged, learning, having fun, and wanting to come every day to our program!

Pick-UpRelease of students will be to parents or the authorized person(s) only as per the registration form.  Students must be signed out by this person.  The After School Program Director is to be notified in writing of any changes.  Picture identification will be checked until staff members are familiar with parents or authorized person(s). Any unusual restrictions should be noted on the registration form.  You will need to sign your child out at the front office.  It is the responsibility of the parent to provide transportation. Students are not allowed to walk or ride bikes home.

Behavior GuidelinesWe will strive to provide an atmosphere that is conducive to the safety of all children. Our expectation for appropriate student behavior will be communicated and followed.  Student behavioral choices which do not meet these expectations will be addressed through appropriate consequences, ranging from  communicating with parents to expulsion from the ASP.  More information on the behavior guidelines can be found on the Parent Acknowledgement Statement.

HomeworkAllotted time is provided for homework. There is no guarantee that all homework will be completed during the program, although it is our goal to try.  We do not provide one-on-one tutoring, but our staff is there for support.

ClothingPlease dress your child appropriately. Unless the weather is very extreme, we try to take students outside each day.  Students should wear tennis shoes in the gym and on the playground.
